From Udaan 2021 to Udaan 2022
‘Udaan 2021’- A Global Classical Dance Virtual Contest – Organised by Kala Ashram Foundation, Udaipur from May-July 2021.
- Created as a Covid Charity Event during the second wave of pandemic.
- Injected a spirit of resilience and continuity among classical artists of all age-groups.
- Left its impact and built a strong community across 6 countries and 15 Indian states.
- Included contestants from Maharashtra, Delhi, UP, Assam, West Bengal, Hyderabad, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh as well as Canada, Virginia, Washington, Chicago, Manchester-UK and Oman.
- Saw participation and engagement from a lot of classical dance students and institutions as well as veterans in this domain.
- Covered 3 categories – Minor, Junior and Senior over 3 rounds.
We are getting into a new gear as we prepare for building up on all the love, engagement, impact and huge interest that we got during Udaan 2021. It’s time for Udaan 2022!!
This time the Udaan franchise will leverage Udaan Foundation for helping social causes like ‘Empowering the Girl Child’, ‘Healing for specially-abled children’ and other such endeavours.
The event will be in a hybrid format – both virtual and an offline finale. We intend to reach even farther, deeper and better than what we did last year. Help us excel even higher than what we achieved in Udaan 2021.

*The entries should be accompanied by appropriate video submissions showcasing your preferred skill and style for the competition. The Nominations are open from June 10, 2022, and entries would be accepted till 3rd July Sunday, IST 12 PM. Result Declare 4th July Monday. Ideal Duration for all Participants –
Minor- Solo (2- 3 Minutes), Duet (2- 3 Minutes), Group (Up to 5 Minutes)
Junior- Solo (2- 3 Minutes), Duet (2- 3 Minutes), Group (Up to 5 Minutes)
Senior- Solo (Up to 5 Minutes), Duet (Up to 5 Minutes), Group (Up to 8 Minutes)
- Certificate of Participation will be given to all participating artists and Guru’s.
- The Jury’s decision is final, No interference by the contestants will be tolerated.
- This competition is purely meant for promotion & preservation of Indian dance & culture on virtual mode.
- Participants should be share performance video in given duration before last date, otherwise they will disqualified.
- Every Artist can perform only in one category.
- Participants can register through Paytm / Google Pay (+91-9414157457) or Bank Transfer with a registration fee. Please save the payment receipt for upload in the below form.
